The agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kiki, a Slack translation application operated by ARTranslation Technologies (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. ("Kiki," "we," "us," "our"). By installing Kiki into a Slack workspace or by paying for a subscription, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent.
Accounts & workspaces
Kiki is installed per Slack workspace by a user with sufficient permissions in that workspace. The person who installs Kiki, or who is designated as the billing admin, is responsible for managing the subscription and for ensuring the workspace's use of Kiki complies with these Terms and with Slack's own terms of service.
Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans (Pro, Business, and Enterprise) are billed per workspace on a monthly or annual cycle, in advance, through Razorpay or PayPal. Prices are as listed on our Pricing page at the time of purchase and may change with notice for future billing cycles. Annual subscriptions are billed once a year at the discounted annual rate. Usage limits (translated messages per month, channels, languages) are described on the Pricing page and are a normal part of each plan, not a hidden restriction.
You can cancel or change plans at any time; see our Refund Policy for how cancellations and refunds are handled.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Kiki to:
- Violate any applicable law, or Slack's own Acceptable Use Policy;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload Kiki's infrastructure beyond normal usage;
- Process content you don't have the right to share with a third-party translation provider; or
- Resell or sublicense access to Kiki without our written agreement.
We may suspend access for a workspace that we reasonably believe is violating these Terms, after attempting to notify the workspace admin where practical.
Availability & changes
We aim to keep Kiki available and translating reliably, but Kiki depends on Slack's platform and on third-party translation providers, and occasional downtime or degraded service can occur. We may add, change, or remove features over time; material reductions in a paid plan's functionality will be communicated to workspace admins in advance where reasonably possible.
No warranty
Kiki is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Automated translation can be imperfect; Kiki is a productivity aid, not a substitute for professional or certified translation in contexts where accuracy is legally or medically critical.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ARTranslation Technologies (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kiki. Our total liability for any claim relating to Kiki is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Kiki at any time by uninstalling it from your workspace and cancelling any active subscription. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required to do so by law or by Slack.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
